A MASSIVE Disney cruise ship is set to make her first visit to Greenock this week.
The 4,000-passenger Disney Dream is anticipated to arrive at Greenock’s Ocean Terminal early on Wednesday as part of a seven-day round Britain cruise.
At 1,115 feet, the 130,000-tonne vessel is longer than the height of the Eiffel Tower and the ship’s horn is even capable of playing a variety of tunes from Disney’s popular films.
The ship’s stern features a large stainless steel and fibreglass figure of Mickey Mouse, which weighs approximately 2,500 pounds.
On-board entertainment includes live shows that allow passengers to relive iconic movie moments and meet-and-greets with beloved characters from the franchise’s films.
Most of the ship’s itineraries include a fireworks display while at sea and also offer cruise ship goers a first look at some of the latest Disney motion picture releases.
A variety of pools and fitness facilities are also aboard the ship, with themed youth clubs also available for youngsters to attend.
Older passengers can take advantage of several adults-only areas, including ‘the district’, where they can get a drink, watch live sport and go dancing.
Greenock has previously been visited by the smaller Disney Magic cruise ship.
