FLU vaccination drop-in clinics are under way in Inverclyde.
They began at the weekend and the next sessions are at Greenock Town Hall on Thursday September 21 (10am-6pm) and at Port Glasgow Town Hall on Sunday September 24 (10am-6pm).
The drop-ins are open to anyone in an eligible group for flu vaccination and who does not have an appointment, or cannot make the booking time that has been given to them.
The winter vaccination programme is for those aged 50-64, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde staff, and vulnerable groups.
Dr Emilia Crighton, director of public health at NHS GGC said: “Flu is serious and even healthy people can become very ill from it.
“The flu virus is always changing, and getting vaccinated every year is the best way to stay protected for the whole winter season.
“The rollout of this winter vaccination program provides eligible groups with the opportunity to get ahead of these viruses prior to the cold, winter months hitting hard. It is the best way for people to protect themselves and their loved ones.”
