A PETITION calling on the Scottish Government to nationalise the parent company of Inchgreen Dry Dock will go in front of MSPs tomorrow.
Campaigners want the Greenock marine facility brought into public ownership and control removed from Clydeport, part of the Peel Ports group, after years of inactivity at the site.
The petition, launched in June by Robert Buirds on behalf of the Campaign to Save Inchgreen Dry Dock, attracted more than 1,300 signatures.
The government has previously said it 'has no plans to explore compulsorily purchasing, revoking the powers of, or nationalising Clydeport'.
The petition will be considered by the Citizen Participation and Public Petition Committee.
The hearing starts at 9.30am and can be watched online at www.scottishparliament.tv/
