INVERCLYDE is well represented on the longlist for this year’s TV Choice Awards, with two of the area's small screen stars in the running for top prizes.
Greenock’s Martin Compston is longlisted for Best Actor for his role as Fulmer Hamilton in Prime Video’s The Rig.
The series also features in the Best New Drama category.
The actor is in the running for a third gong, with his BBC2 show Martin Compston’s Scottish Fling longlisted for Best Factual Show.

Port Glasgow TV presenter Jean Johansson’s popular Channel 4 programme A Place In The Sun is also up for Best Daytime Show.
Viewers can now vote for their favourites from the longlists in all categories, with voting closing at midnight on October 10.
Shortlists will be announced at a later date, with the winners then being revealed at a glitzy ceremony in London.
