AS I turned on the TV recently, the end of a cartoon film called Kung Fu Panda 2 was showing the film’s credits and I was really quite astonished to see how many people were involved in some way with this film and bringing it to life.

A huge amount of people covering all aspects of making the film and, coming from a financial background, I noticed at least seven people involved under the heading finance just to make one film.

The making of even cartoon films is a hugely expensive business and does need people from all kinds of backgrounds to get involved, plus those supplying the voices for all the characters, and the finance to make the film possible.

And we, if we are Christian, are a part of a much wider team bringing the good of Jesus to those we know and come across as part of our daily lives as well as further afield.

Speaking of Jesus to family, friends, colleagues and more. Ready to give an account of ourselves and of what brought us to Jesus and the difference He has made.

You might well know the acronym TEAM which separated means together, everyone achieves more and that is been my experience and probably yours as well, be it in a work setting or in sport or music and drama.

One example of this is the Inverclyde Street Pastors where Christians from all the denominations have come together to care, listen and help those out on the streets and on the trains at night who may be in distress of one kind or another.

The majority of country’s adults say they are lonely and for many decreasing mental health has been and continues to be an issue.

Jesus simply says to us ‘Love God and love your neighbour’ and I suggest more of us are needed at this general time of trial with rising food, energy and other costs to do just that.

With the love of God and His compassion in our hearts, there has never been a better time to find your neighbour, to offer a helping hand and restore love into their hearts.

Jesus also tells us that ‘whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ So let us do just that.
