INVERCLYDE will be battered by wet weather again tomorrow - days after a month's worth of rain fell on the district.

A yellow warning has been issued by the Met Office for heavy rainfall affecting parts of western Scotland on Tuesday, bringing a risk of some additional flooding and transport disruption.

Rain is forecast for Inverclyde from around 2am tomorrow morning until 6am, with further heavy showers due from about 12.30pm until 10pm.

The Met Office says that spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures, while there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

It adds: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings."
