A PORT Glasgow pub has made the final cut for a prestigious national prize.
The Caledonian Bar on Princes Street is on a three-strong shortlist for the Community Pub of the Year award, organised by Scottish Licensed Trade News (SLTN).
The annual search for Scotland's best venues recognises excellence across the country's hospitality industry and the local watering hole is in the running for a top gong.
An introduction on the SLTN Awards website states: "This traditional pub is located in the heart of Port Glasgow and has made efforts to place itself at the heart of community activity.
"When the local bingo hall closed, the Caledonian introduced afternoon bingo sessions twice a week and it provides a fully staffed bar every Friday night for charity events.
"Last Christmas Day, it opened for seven hours and laid on free soup and a buffet for visitors."
The other 2023 finalists in the category are Platform 3 in Linlithgow and The Station Bar in Alness.
Winners will be announced next month.
