FLOOD blighted Inverclyde is set to be hit with more heavy rain as forecasters predict three days of downpours in the district when Storm Babet arrives later this week.
A yellow weather warning for rain will be in place locally from Thursday at 6am until Saturday the same time as the autumn's second named storm brings a spell of very wet weather to the area.
The Met Office have warned that the stormy spell could lead to difficult driving conditions due to spray and flooding, as well as road closures.
The weather service also says there is a chance of delays or cancellations to trains and bus services and the potential for homes and businesses to be flooded.
There is also the possibility of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses, as well as a chance of fast-flowing or deep floodwater and communities being cut off by flooded roads.
