DRIVERS are being reminded to take note of a change in the layout of roadworks on the A8 through Greenock.
The Scottish Water works, which have been ongoing since the start of the year to alleviate persistent flooding on the road, have included temporary traffic measures and single-lane restrictions.
As of Monday this week, both lanes of traffic now use a single lane on each side of the carriageway while work continues in the central reservation to install a new combined sewer overflow.
Previously, the contraflow system saw both lanes of traffic use the westbound carriageway on East Hamilton Street.
The utility company is aiming to complete the works by the end of this year.
