A HOUSEHOLDER whose application to add a roof deck onto the front of their home in Gourock was rejected has appealed against council officers' decision.
Members of Inverclyde Council's local review body will decide whether to uphold the refusal of the proposals at the committee's next meeting on November 1.
Permission was sought for a roof deck at the front of the Drumshantie Road home, but planners refused to give the go-ahead.
They said the development would form an 'unexpected and incongruous feature' on dwellinghouse that 'does not reflect local architecture'.
They also claimed that the development 'forms a dominant feature on the principal elevation of the dwellinghouse' which would 'harm the established character of the area'.
