A DETERMINED Greenock businesswoman who is passionate about fitness is taking on a demanding challenge to raise money for one of Inverclyde's best-loved charities.
Kerri Stinson will tackle a half marathon on November 26 in support of Ardgowan Hospice.
Kerri, who runs her own fitness studio in Greenock, said she wants to say 'thank-you' to the 'angels' at the hospice who have been there for her friends and family in recent years.
The mum-of-two has already raised more than £1,000 for her trek in an online fundraiser and says she wants to raise as much money as she can for the cause.
Kerri, 31, said: "I have a close friend who is being supported by the hospice at the moment, and the team have looked after members of my family in the past.
"The nurses are angels and they do so much incredible work.
"You never know when you might need the services of the hospice yourself, so it's so important to support it."
Kerri will be running the MoRun half marathon, organised as part of Movember, which will start from Pollok Country Park.
The businesswoman set up her fitness studio in Ingleston Street after she received a redundancy package from a previous employer.
Since launching the business in February this year, Kerri says she has received a fantastic response to her programme classes and personal training.
The determined fitness fan has never run more than 5km before, so knows the MoRun will be tough.

Kerri says she's thankful for the amazing support she's received from friends and family, especially her children Aidan, three, Georgia, two, and husband Paul.
Kerri added: "I wanted to do something that really challenged me.
"This will really take me out of my comfort zone.
"I've been building the time up gradually and won't run a half marathon before it, that will be saved for the day.
"I train four times a week anyway so I'm adding in more strength training and running.
"I really hope people will get behind me and support the hospice."
