A YELLOW weather warning is now in place in Inverclyde with forecasters predicting heavy rain for much of today.
The warning came into force at 3am and will last until 3pm.
During this period, the Met Office says flooding is ‘likely’ and that bus and train services could be affected.

Drivers are also warned to be aware of spray and flooding on roads.

Inverclyde could see gusts of up to 45mph this morning, but winds are due to die down this afternoon.
The Met Office says we are in for heavy rain for most of the day, with conditions only expected to improve from 5pm.
