AN inspection of health and social care services for adults in Inverclyde is under way.
The Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland are conducting the exercise, which will consider how the health and social care partnership is working.
The work formally began last month, according to a report to the social work and social care scrutiny panel.
A report by council officials says: “In this inspection, the inspection team are primarily looking at people’s experiences and outcomes over the preceding two-year period.
“This encompasses part of the period of the coronavirus pandemic but is not a pandemic-specific inspection programme.”
The inspection will examine services for people who live with mental illness, unpaid carers and there will be a survey of staff plus a review of selected health and social work records.
