COFFEE lovers will have to wait an extra few weeks for their first visit to Starbucks in Greenock after the drive-through's opening date was pushed back.

The site was due to welcome customers from November 10, but the Tele understands this has been delayed until December 6 while finishing touches are added to the nearly ready coffee shop.

A totem sign featuring the iconic Starbucks logo was put up outside the shop last week.

Bosses said ‘more specific plans’ for the opening will be detailed soon.

A spokesperson for Starbucks said: “We look forward to bringing the Starbucks experience to customers in Greenock in the near future.”
