PARKLEA Branching Out got the the festive season off to a flying start with its fantastic three-day Christmas Fair.
The event was a chance to showcase all the great work that goes on throughout the year at horticultural social enterprise.
People who attend the Parklea project had been working hard to create unique Christmas gifts and plant arrangements and all their efforts paid off.
Christine Falconer, horticulturalist instructor, said: "It was very busy over the consecutive three days.
"We have been very well supported by the local community, as we are every year.
"We always try to create different products each year if we can.
"One of the most popular items this year were our wooden bird houses, planters and trains made by our grounds team and then planted up.
"They were flying off the shelves.
"We also had a great tombola run by our hard-working volunteers and a fabulous raffle with local businesses donating amazing prizes including a an overnight stay in a hotel in Ayrshire, a Smart TV and £150 worth of Amazon vouchers."
Christine says everything raised will go back into the inspirational project, which provides training, work experience, recreational and social facilities for a variety of clients including adults and children with learning and physical disabilities.
She added: "We also had other stalls with independent craftspeople selling jewellery, pictures and knitted items and handmade goods.
"One of the ladies says our fair is her favourite one because it's such a lovely atmosphere."
