HIGH winds could cause disruption to travel in Inverclyde this Thursday, the Met Office has warned.
The forecaster has issued a yellow weather warning for wind which covers the whole of Scotland.
They are telling locals that there is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected.
They say there is also a chance of some damage to buildings and that power cuts may occur.
There is also a potential that injuries and 'danger to life' could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto seafronts, coastal roads and properties.
Residents are also warned that there is a small chance of injuries from flying debris and that some roads and bridges could close.
The warning will be in place for 24 hours starting at midnight on December 21.
