THE kind ladies section at Gourock Golf Club ended the year by taking time to help two local charities.
They made donations to both Inverclyde Foodbank and Children in Poverty Inverclyde.
Anne F Johnstone, the Ladies Section charities convenor at GGC, said: "Adam Wines from Inverclyde Foodbank accepted a very large donation from the generous Ladies Section at Gourock Golf Club on December 14.
"Our section recently held a Christmas fun day and our members brought an overwhelming amount for the foodbank, which was gratefully received by Adam."

George Wall from Children in Poverty Inverclyde is pictured receiving a cheque from the Lady Vice Captain and charities convenor.
Anne said: "We held a Christmas raffle recently and our kind lady members and staff helped raise £300 for the charity."
Mr Wall of CIPI thanked the golfers for their generosity and said the money would be put to good use over the coming months.
He told the Telegraph: "This donation will be used to help fund holiday breaks for local children in 2024."
