A GREENOCK man has admitted to behaving aggressively towards his partner and daughter on the same day he was caught behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated.
Maciej Wisniewski, 56, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards the two women at his Braeside home on May 16 last year when he shouted and punched a television set.
The offence was committed while he was subject to a court bail order for a separate matter and it was aggravated by involving abuse of his partner or ex-partner.
Wisniewski was also caught driving a Subaru Forester vehicle under the influence near his address on Kinloch Terrace, at its junction with Kylemore Terrace, on the same day.
He returned a breath test reading showing 49mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - more than double the legal limit.
The Polish national, who appeared in the dock on Monday with a translator, pleaded guilty through solicitor Marcell Horvath to two of the three summary charges he faced.
A not guilty submission was accepted by the Crown to an allegation that he assaulted his partner by pushing her and punching her on the head and body to her injury.
Sheriff Anthony McGeehan called for background reports before sentencing Wisniewski, who has previous convictions, and he is due to return to court on February 5 with other matters also set to call on the same date.
He has been disqualified from driving in the meantime.
