MEMBERS of Greenock’s Coastguard Rescue Team have been honing their skills by working alongside rangers at one of Scotland’s busiest lochs.
Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park’s Rangers Service hosted the team to look at rescue strategies and communications.
A spokesperson for the Coastguard said: “HM Coastguard have been working with our partners at Loch Lomond National Park Rangers Service and as part of this relationship we look at safety and rescue systems on the loch.
“Personnel from both organisations spent a full day of joint working together, looking at possible incidents that may occur on the loch and how both agencies would respond.
“During the exercise both organisations tested communications resilience and various methods on how to safely rescue/recover persons who may be in the water or require assistance.”
