WEATHER warnings for wintry conditions throughout Inverclyde this week have been extended by the Met Office.
The yellow warning had initially been in place for Tuesday and Wednesday, with snow and ice on the way from around 7am tomorrow, and similar conditions are now expected to last into Thursday.
According to the latest update, snow showers in the north of Scotland today could develop across the rest of the country tomorrow, bringing with them possible travel disruption on roads and railways.
The Met Office says a fairly widespread ice risk is expected overnight into Wednesday morning following sleet and snowfall on Tuesday.
