A NATIONAL animal rights charity are appealing for information about a puppy found in Port Glasgow.
The Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals have released a picture of a small male dog which was discovered on Brown Street on Tuesday.
They are asking anyone who recognises the pup, which has a black coat with a white chest marking, to get in touch on 03000 999 999.
The young dog is not microchipped and is currently in the care of the charity's centre in Glasgow.
The organisation have stressed that their appeal does not to relate to rehoming the pup and that they are only interested in speaking to those with information about him.
