A FANTASTIC fundraiser brought in more than £1,500 for Ardgowan Hospice by taking on a gruelling half marathon.
Kerri Stinson raised £1,676 for the beloved local charity as a thank you to the 'angels' at the hospice who have been there for her friends and family in recent years.
The local businesswoman, who runs her own fitness studio in Greenock, recently handed over the funds to hospice staff.
She said: "The half marathon itself wasn't as bad as I thought; the training was actually harder. I had a great day.
"Crossing the finishing line was brilliant, my two wee babies were there with their signs saying 'well done mummy' so it was cute.
"What the hospice does is amazing and I'm so pleased to have raised this for them."
Laura Wilson, of Ardgowan Hospice, told the Telegraph the organisation was delighted to accept Kerri's donation
She added: "We're very grateful to Kerri for this wonderful donation.
"Fundraising like this plays a crucial part in supporting the work we do here at Ardgowan Hospice."
