MEMBERS of Greenock’s Coastguard Rescue Team travelled to Glasgow to hone their flood rescue skills.
They joined colleagues from across central and southern Scotland at Pinkston Watersports for a full day of training.
Greenock CRT currently has seven flood rescue technicians who form part of HM Coastguard’s national response capability in the event of flooding.
The Continuous Professional Development training allowed the technicians a chance to refresh core skills.
The session focused on raft work and casualty extraction from vehicles stranded in flood water.
