INVERCLYDE Health and Social Care Partnership has been recognised for its progress in transitioning from analogue to digital telecare.
The HSCP has attained a gold level digital telecare implementation award from Digital Telecare for Scottish Local Government.
To secure the award, service providers must have successfully rolled out a live digital telecare service to half of their users and operate it without serious issues or failures for at least six weeks.
Alan Cowan, vice chair of the Inverclyde Integration Joint Board, which oversees local services, said: “Telecare is vital for older adults and vulnerable people living in the community, so that they can easily call for help.
“This is a fantastic achievement and congratulations to everyone involved in continuing the smooth transition from analogue to digital.”
