A MAN and woman have been charged after a heavy police response to a disturbance in the Broomhill area of Greenock yesterday.
Several marked vehicles were stationed at the scene on Drumfrochar Road, near to St Patrick's Primary School, on Monday afternoon following a reported incident.
Police have now confirmed that a male and female were arrested and have been charged, with the man due to appear in court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Monday, February 12, officers were called to a report of a disturbance at an address on Drumfrochar Road, Greenock.
“A 53-year-old woman and 31-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"The woman has been released on an undertaking and the man is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, February 13.”
