RAIL passengers in Inverclyde are facing disruption this afternoon after a vehicle struck the bridge at Sinclair Street in Greenock.
Trains are currently unable to run between Cartsdyke and Greenock Central, meaning services will start from and terminate at Port Glasgow.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: “The bridge is a red structure so will need to be examined by Network Rail staff before services can pass over the bridge again.”
Disruption is expected to last until around 2.30pm.
Passengers can check journey information at scotrail.co.uk.
