CALMAC is accepting applications for its next intake of Modern Apprentices.
The Gourock-based ferry operator is seeking ‘dedicated and enthusiastic’ 17-24-year-olds who have a passion for maritime.
This year, CalMac will offer two industry-leading seafaring programmes in engine and deck ratings.
The apprenticeship schemes will involve on the job training by experienced professionals, as well as further learning at college.

Apprentices will also have a personal mentor to support them in the career at sea.
Successful applicants will embark on a two-year scheme based on CalMac’s Western Isles fleet.
CalMac said: "We have a proud history of navigating some of the most challenging waters in the country.
"Our hardworking and skilled people have driven this legacy - and with that in mind, we have an important role to play in developing the next generation of seafarers and protecting these skills for the long term, while also helping to develop and train young people from the communities we serve."
