INVERCLYDE has launched its first ever 'Seed Library' to give more people a chance to grow plants.
The Inverclyde Community Food Network has set up the project at South West Library, as part of the Drying Green community garden there.
Residents can come along and choose from a whole variety to grow in the garden.
Experts will help them learn how to save the seed from the plants grown and return it to the library for others to use.
Co-ordinators Julie Anson and Alice Paul launched the seed library and helping out on the day was guest speaker Martin Gerrish, from Dunoon's Grow Food Project.
The seed library is the latest venture for the food network, which aims to encourage people to use the seven community gardens across Inverclyde.
