A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a shoplifter convicted of stealing from a Greenock supermarket after he failed to turn up for a sentencing hearing.
Scott Lincoln was absent from Greenock Sheriff Court last week having taken a quantity of alcohol from the Lidl store on February 22 last year.
The 23-year-old, of Weir Street, also shouted, swore and acted aggressively at the store.
A not guilty plea was accepted to a further allegation that he assaulted a male member of staff by striking him on the head, while it was originally claimed that he attempted to throw a log at employees.
