A WOMAN who carried out a violent roadside assault on her partner following an argument over booze has been given an unpaid work order at Greenock Sheriff Court.
Stephanie Moore lashed out at her victim, pinned her against a wall and punched and kicked her several times while a passer-by watched on.
Police who were called out to the incident last summer later found 32-year-old Moore 'hanging onto a wall' after trying to flee the scene, the court heard.
Moore, of Wellpark Buildings in Greenock, committed the offence in Dunoon on June 13 last year.
She appeared in the dock having previously had not guilty pleas accepted to another alleged assault and bail breach charges.
It was claimed that she repeatedly struck the same complainer with a bottle and landed multiple punches on her head and body to her injury near Greenock's Waterfront leisure complex last August.

A procurator fiscal depute told the hearing that the couple had been in a relationship for approximately three years and both were in a male friend's car driving towards Hunters Quay in Dunoon before the incident broke out.
The prosecutor said: "The accused wanted to get a bottle of whisky and it was shared between the parties.
"An argument ensued between the complainer and the accused and she asked the driver to stop.
"The accused got out of the vehicle. The complainer also exited and the argument continued outside."
The court heard that the driver 'became embarrassed' and drove off, leaving the women stranded.
Another motorist then drove past and noticed Moore punching the complainer before pinning her up against a wall and continuing to hit her.

The prosecutor added: "The witness drove away and pulled into Hunter's Grove about ten metres away.
"She re-attended the scene and observed the complainer to be on the ground and the accused was punching and kicking her.
"She managed to break free and ran over to the witness for assistance."
Police officers found the complainer to be 'crying and upset', while Moore was traced a short distance along the road 'hanging onto a wall at the shoreside' which she had 'tried to jump'.
Ambulance staff noted the victim to have no injuries after the attack.
Defence solicitor Gerry Keenan, who told the court that Moore has one previous conviction of a similar nature, said: "The origin of this problem appeared to be that she had taken too much to drink."
Sheriff Anthony McGeehan ordered Moore to complete 150 hours of unpaid work within 12 months, while she will also be supervised for a year.
The sheriff said the sentence would 'provide a framework to address the issues behind this offending'.
