A HOLIDAY firm has announced flights from Glasgow Airport to a brand-new destination.
Jet2holidays is expanding its offering of holidays to include the popular resort of Sozopol in Bulgaria in summer 2024.
The ancient seaside town combines white sand beaches with stunning architecture, with a charming Old Town of cobbled streets, terracotta-topped houses and a variety of shops, bars and restaurants.
Holidaymakers also flock to Sozopol for its affordability, and Jet2 is allowing customers to book a range of package deals including three and four-star hotels with bed and breakfast and all-inclusive options.
Sozopol boasts two beautiful beaches, Central Beach and the incredible wild beach at Dyuni, Harmanite Beach.
Meanwhile, nature lovers can head to the Ropotamo Nature Reserve or the Blatoto Alepu National Park and families can enjoy a fun-filled day in the nearby Neptun Aqua Park, a 50,000 sq. metre waterpark.
Customers travelling on a package holiday to Sozopol with Jet2holidays can fly direct to Bulgaria (Bourgas) from Glasgow as well as Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International, with transfers to and from Bulgaria (Bourgas) airport also included.
With up to 21 weekly flights operating to Bulgaria (Bourgas) during peak periods this summer, customers and independent travel agents have plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to booking holidays to the new resort.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are delighted to be offering package holidays to Sozopol in Bulgaria for Summer 24 and expanding our offering in the region.
"The addition of this charming resort comes in response to strong demand for getaways to Bulgaria and gives holidaymakers even more choice.
"As well as being able to access this region, holidaymakers will also be able to enjoy the many benefits of booking a package holiday to Sozopol with Jet2holidays.
"These benefits, combined with our reputation of delivering exceptional customer service, means we are confident this resort will be popular with both customers and independent travel agents.”
