TOP Scottish TV star Ashley Jensen was spotted on the streets of Greenock today filming for the hit crime drama Shetland.
Cameras followed the The Ugly Betty and Extras actress as she shot scenes in her lead role as Detective Inspector Ruth Calder, for the new series of the hugely popular BBC show.
She was seen on location outside the Tontine Hotel in Ardgowan Square followed by crew and other cast members, as well as the RAF Club.
Inverclyde has been a filming base for the show on several previous occasions. The Tele revealed earlier this week how the two west end venues would be used for the latest scenes being filmed here.
Production company Crews Silverprint Pictures returned to Inverclyde to shoot more footage for the series, which has been commissioned for a ninth and tenth season.
Scottish actress Ashley was joined by other leading members of the cast including Alison O'Donnell as Alison 'Tosh' McIntosh.
