AN INVERCLYDE folk rock band whose tunes brought joy to people all over the world during the coronavirus lockdowns are taking their sound to America.
Reely Jiggered will be performing in Virginia later this month.
The band - Alison McNeill, her sister Fiona, and Mark Norris - made friends all over the world as Covid-19 hit when they started performing 'Live on the Drive' sessions in Gourock.
Thousands of people tuned in each week to watch the talented instrumentalists and singers perform an amazing array of their own tunes and covers in their garden.
The success of the 'Live on the Drive' sessions has secured stateside gigs for the band on April 13 and 14.
Alison said the three-piece can't wait to meet their American fans in person.
She added: "It's really exciting.
"We have quite a following in the States, and a lot of that is down to us doing the shows online during lockdown.
"People from all over the world tuned in and we formed a lovely wee community.
"It will be amazing if we actually get to meet some of the people who became fans through watching us out in our garden in Gourock in 2020."
The folk rock fusion band will play a special US 'Live on the Drive' on a driveway in Mechanicsville on April 13.
The gig will be streamed live.
The trio will then head to Radford University where they will perform on April 14, and deliver a presentation to students on April 15.
Alison said coronavirus lockdown made the band think more about how to connect with fans.
She added: "We sold a huge amount of albums and merch during that time and it was really successful for us.
"It showed us that we can still reach fans all over the world without being there in person.
"We're really looking forward to meeting people and hope people from all over the world will tune in again."
