A POPULAR Inverclyde band have brushed shoulders with a well-known Scottish broadcaster while on a trip stateside.
All female singing group The Laurettes posed for a selfie with TV presenter Jackie Bird after bumping into her at a post Tartan Day parade reception in New York.
In a post on their Facebook page, the group said: "The people you meet!
"Wonderful talking to Jackie Bird at The American Scot’s Foundation’s post parade reception us.
"It’s great being Scottish."
The talented musicians have been out in America for the annual New York Tartan Week celebrations, which pay tribute to all things Scottish.
