AN export firm from Inverclyde is being put in the limelight at Holyrood after winning a UK award.
PG Paper, based at Custom House in Greenock, was named among the winners in this year's Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards run by the Department for Business and Trade’s
Now Greenock-born MSP Jamie Greene has lodged a motion at the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the company's staff on their achievement.
PG Paper was the winner in the Retail & Consumer Goods category of the awards. The company trades in more than 60 countries and almost all of its sales are made overseas.
MSP Mr Greene said: “I am always enormously proud of the dynamic business community here in Inverclyde.
“PG Paper are just one example of how local companies here in Greenock have successfully built on our town’s history as a hub of export and industry.
“I am very pleased that PG Paper has been recognised by the UK Government for its hugely successful export strategy.
“I hope that this well deserved award will encourage other local businesses to expand and export their goods and services around the world."
