A FEMALE inmate who allegedly carried out an attack on another prisoner at Greenock jail two years ago has had a trial date scheduled.
Angela Boyle is accused of assaulting a woman at HMP Greenock on March 11, 2022.
The 49-year-old struck the alleged victim on the head and body with a pole, according to the Crown.
It is claimed that the woman was injured as a result of the alleged incident.
Boyle is due to return to Greenock Sheriff Court to face a jury on June 17 and she will remain in custody until then.
