A MAN has died after being found with serious injuries in a common close in Port Glasgow, police have confirmed.
Emergency services rushed to Brookfield Road late on Saturday night and sealed off the street, with a cordon remaining in place today.
Police Scotland told the Telegraph today that a 27-year-old man had succumbed to his injuries and an investigation is now underway.
A spokesperson said: "Around 9.05pm on Saturday, April 27, a 27-year-old man was found seriously injured within a common close on Brookfield Road, Port Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended but the man died at the scene.
"The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation and enquiries are ongoing."
