GREENOCK Ocean Terminal welcomed back a regular visitor this morning as she prepares for a 10-day cruise of Scotland’s islands.
Spitsbergen is one of the first ships to visit Greenock every year.
Built in 2009, the Hurtigruten-owned ship’s accommodation is spread across four passenger decks.
The majority of her voyages take place of Norway or in the Arctic, but she also offers trips near Iceland and North America during the summer.

After arriving in drizzly conditions earlier today, she is due to make her first stop in Arran tomorrow.
From there, Spitsbergen will visit Islay, Gigha, Iona, Staffa, St Kilda, Stornoway and the Shiant Isles.
She will also stop off in Skye, Eigg, Mill and Colonsay before arriving back in Greenock on May 10.
