AN arrest warrant has been issued for a knife offence accused man charged with repeatedly breaching a bail order imposed nearly two years ago.
Robert Best - who failed to attend court for a calling of matters - is said to have failed to comply with terms of a directive made in October 2022 to sign in at Greenock police office every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
It is claimed that the 49-year-old did not complete the requirement on various occasions between November and December 2022.
He is also alleged to have failed to attend the station on several dates as part of a separate bail order made in October 2022.
Best is accused of breaching 7pm-7am curfew conditions in December of the same year, while he is said to have been found in unlawful possession of a knife at Lansbury Street.
He allegedly failed to appear for a court hearing on January 15 this year and was absent from a calling of the case last week.
Sheriff James Varney granted a warrant to apprehend.
