MORE than 500 people attended a jobs fair at Greenock Town Hall last week.
The recruitment event was organised by Inverclyde Council in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and Skills Development Scotland.
A total of 30 employers were on hand to provide help and advice to people at all stages of their career journey.
Councillor Michael McCormick, Inverclyde Council’s convener of environment and regeneration, said: "The aim of these jobs fairs is to give people an opportunity to find out about employment opportunities in the area and to meet directly with employers who are looking to hire.
"We know there are talented people out there who are looking for a new opportunity, or to develop their skills, and these events are the ideal place to find out more about that.
“Thank you to all our partners who worked with the council’s workforce development team to make the fair happen, and to the employers who took the time to come along.”
