A MAN has been charged with verbally abusing at his ex-partner and her current partner at Scotmid in Greenock.
Martin McVey is alleged to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at the local convenience store on February 9 last year.
It is claimed that he shouted and swore at his ex-partner and her current partner, and also acted aggressively towards her current partner and threatened him with violence.
Prosecutors say that it will be proven that the alleged offence was aggravated by involving the abuse of McVey’s ex-partner or partner.
McVey has pleaded not guilty to the charge through his lawyer Derek Buchanan and is set to stand trial on June 3, with the matter due to call again on May 14.
