A WOMAN accused of struggling with a retail worker and assaulting a man after an alleged shoplifting incident is set to stand trial later this summer.
Toni Macarthur is charged, along with co-accused Ross McFarlane, with stealing a quantity of foodstuffs, beverages and an electric cigarette from the Iceland supermarket in Greenock on June 29 last year.
It is claimed that 32-year-old Macarthur, of Blairmore Road, shouted threats of violence towards a female employee at the store on the same day.
She also allegedly pushed a man on the head with her hand at the Westburn Street shop.
Solicitor David Tod pleaded not guilty on Macarthur's behalf and a trial has been scheduled for July 10 at Greenock Sheriff Court.
