A WOMAN accused of making abusive 999 calls and assaulting a police officer is set to stand trial in September.
Helen Bond is charged with shouting and swearing at a police call handler and communicating messages that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.
The 41-year-old, from Greenock, is said to have attempted to punch a male PC on the head and behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at Nicolson Court on March 4 this year.
She pleaded not guilty through solicitor Aidan Gallagher and a trial has been scheduled for September 5 at the sheriff court.
