AN ALLEGED Greenock murder bid victim has been charged with being in possession of a class A drug.
Mark Allan was recently the victim of an attempt on his life in the town, according to his lawyer Derek Buchanan, who cited the incident as the reason for his client's absence from a sheriff court hearing.
Allan, 50, is charged with having cocaine on him at Newton Street on January 26 this year while on two bail orders, one of which was granted the previous day.
Sheriff James Varney continued the proceedings without plea until May 31.
