A SHOPLIFTING accused is charged with carrying out a booze raid at a Greenock supermarket.
Andrew Derrick is said to have lifted a 'quantity' of alcohol from the Tesco store on Dalrymple Street on January 7 this year.
The 29-year-old, of Arran Avenue in Port Glasgow, was not present for a calling of the case at the sheriff court as solicitor Ellen Macdonald submitted a not guilty plea on his behalf.
Sheriff James Varney scheduled a trial for September 9.
