A TOP Inverclyde drama academy celebrated their tenth anniversary with a sell-out full scale production of smash hit musical The Little Mermaid.
Prominence Academy of Performing Arts - set up by talented double act Lynette Beaton and Lauren Mortimer - went on a four-show run of the iconic Disney classic.
It gave them a chance to showcase the talents in their ranks with 250 youngsters of all ages going 'Under the Sea' with Ariel and her ocean friends.
In the run up to the show the Tele went behind the scenes to see it all coming together.
The academy pulled out all the stops with a massive production including a backstage crew of 50 and a 14-piece orchestra, conducted by Lynette.
But the magic is not about to stop, with plans for a big year with Finding Nemo and mega-hit Six still to come.
Lynette said: "We were once again supported by the incredible pool of talent that we have here in Inverclyde. There is no better talent anywhere than what you will find in Inverclyde.
"One of the greatest things about it is that we have had youngsters who started with us at three years old and they were on that stage."
She added: "We never imaged that our dreams would come true like this. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our success.
"The Beacon is fantastic because you can have a full production, and to sell out the way we did it means the world to us."
Best friends Lynette, of the Laurettes, and Lauren Mortimer made their dreams come true when they set up Prominence in 2014.
Since then they have broken all kinds of records with musicals and shows.
On top of drama, they offer dance, music lessons,one-to-one tutoring and also there are 'Boogie Bugs' classes for babies and tots.
Lynette said: "We started off on a Saturday with three kids and look at us now."
Prominence also works in partnership with Inverclyde Leisure Showcase Events to deliver other shows locally.
From their studio in George Square the cast and backstage team put in the hours of rehearsals with all the parts double cast.
Luckily, they were able to draw on the incredible talents of Amy O'Brien, Jud Harron, Taylor McGibbon and Rachael Girvan.
They were also delighted to have Erin McKenna, who has come through the ranks, to take on the role of choreographer from Vicky Warnock who now has her own dance school.
