A LOCAL organisation which provides sport, education, employability, and health programmes across Inverclyde has been given a cash injection of £80,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Morton in the Community, run through Greenock Morton Community Trust, received £82,615 through the funding body's Young Start Scotland Awards.
The team at Morton in the Community will use the financial boost to deliver two free weekly science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) workshops across Inverclyde.
They will also support young people in creating Inverclyde's first STEM festival, and encourage young people to become STEM ambassadors.
Morton in the Community is one of 22 organisations across Scotland that will receive a share of £1.8 million.
