A CHARITY football match in memory of a much-missed youngster will take place at Battery Park on Sunday.

This year's Euan's Cause fundraising game will see two teams play in his honour.

Euan was born with a rare condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and after several open heart surgeries, he sadly passed away in hospital in 2012, aged only 18 months.

Since then his parents Robert and Nicola have been fundraising for the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

The charity match will kick off at noon.

After the game, there will be a day of entertainment at the Horseshoe Bar, including an amazing array of singers and raffles offering fantastic prizes.

Organisers hope to raise around £15,000 for the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity this year.

Thomas Porteous, a family friend who has been involved in the appeal for years, said: "This is a truly amazing day and it epitomises and showcases what this amazing local community does for charity, and how we all come together for a wonderful cause.

"Euan sadly may not be with us anymore in person but through this charity and his life we will leave a legacy in his name."
