A NEW youth theatre group has launched at the Beacon Arts Centre with the aim of encouraging a new generation of storytellers and performers.
It aims to nurture young people's imagination, with classes including one-off workshops from theatre companies, specialists and industry professionals focusing on skills like directing, scripts, writing, movement, physical theatre, make up and costume design, technical theatre and film and TV production.
The Beacon Youth Group starts on Saturday June 1, with spaces for 13-16-year-olds, from 1.15 to 2.45pm.
