THE iconic Waverley brushed shoulders with a luxurious French cruise ship as the vessel visited Inverclyde earlier this week.
Compagnie du Ponant’s stunning ship Le Boreal passed the iconic paddle steamer on Wednesday night as she left Greenock.
Tele camera club member Janet Boyle was on hand to capture the moment the two vessels passed near the Esplanade.
The ship, which measures 465ft in length, can hold 264 passengers and was making her second Greenock visit of the cruise ship season.
She is one of a number of French ships which have visited the area over the last month and a half.
